Parents: are you always honest or will make up small social lies?

well to be honest I am often tempted to say my hubby's working even though he's not, he's had a lot of medical problems lately and is now waiting to have surgery to fix nerve damage in his spine, I hate people feeling sorry for me so whenever an old friend asks me what he does I just say he's a chef which was what he was doing before all the medical problems, if we go into it I tell them he's taking time off work for medical reasons but if they don't I just leave it that he's a chef.

No, I don't think that would be a good idea because the texture of the concealer won't be the same and won't conceal as well if you mix it with foundation. I would just buy a new one that is a little darker. You'll use this one under your eyes and the another one to hide blemishes and such. Good luck :)

Do restaurants only pay for business hours, and not for set-up/clean-up?

I work in a restaurant in California, and I recently received my paycheck. The hours did not match up to what I had worked, and I asked the manager about it. She told me that the company only paid for business hours, even though I'm asked to get there 30 minutes before to help set up. The restaurant closes at 10pm, but several times a week, there will be customers who show up at 9:40pm or later and sit down to eat. I discussed this with my manager, and she told me that I must stay and serve the customer until they leave, but I will not get paid for the time I have to stay there after 10pm. After the customer leaves, I must still help with the clean-up, so sometimes I'm at work past 11pm. Is my employer required to pay me for that extra time?

Does arguing that one gender or race is superior to the other even makes any sense? I often see it used by men and women as a way to take personal merits due to things they haven't themselves accomplished, or to justify hateful actions. im 16(15 when this happend) and me and my boyfriend have been together for a month and a half So it was my bday and my boyfriend was hanging out with me that whole day and so me, my boyfriend and my bestfriend was walking and my boyfriends bestfriend(Who is a female he calls his sister) saw him walking with me while she was driving past. So she got mad because he said he couldn't go to tennis practice cause he had to stay home but she saw him with me(Which he did have to stay home but it was shorter then he thought it was gonna be so he spent the rest of the day with me) so she gets mad and texts him saying that he was a lier and hes no better then her old bestfriend(That lied to her all the time) and that he lied to her to spend time with me(She doesn't like me because me and my boyfriend get into a lot of arguements involving her and he tells her about them and she thinks we should break up and stuff.) and so he let me see the text before he read them himself and she mentioned me and i got mad and it upset me and i felt like it was ruining my birthday. So we spend the rest of the day together and he calls me to let me know that he worked it out with his friend and she was sorry but i wanted a personal apology from her so i texted her in a nice civil way asking for an apology and she starts yelling telling me its their business not mine so i call my boyfriend crying and he says hes gonna take care of it but i felt like he was on her side. So he talks to her and she decides they shouldn't be friends anymore so he got mad at me and i cried myself to sleep over a friends house. So did he ruin my birthday or was it both of them?

It sounds really stupid - I know. Just at the moment, I have zero confidence, due to my skin. I know there are worse things in the world to be worried about, but it really gets me down. I've done everything I possibly can for my skin and I've learnt I'm just going to have to live with break-outs. Hello, I feel so horrible and lost for what I've done . My boyfriend , me and my child live together. He is a wonderfull and very supportive person . Never had any criminal records ! Last week on Saturday we were arguying , but he never assulted me in our relationship ! I was mad and decided to " panish" him , so I've called police and said he was physically violent to me . The took him and relesed same day , but now he has to stay away from me and my kid ( who's constantly crying and missing him ) . On Monday I went and handled letter to crown attorney reception at out local court asking to drop charges . I'm so stupid and such a lier.. We love each other and want to get back together ASAP . He has hearing at the end of next month... Poor innocent guy..... Me and my kid miss him alot and I'm crying all the time ... Will never ever do anything like this again! ok so yes i do know it is sad when you have to come to the internet for answers but im at my lowest point. How can I prevent painful memories?

I've had a rough time at school for a few years. I have severe panic attacks and most of the time I faint and basically freak out. Sometimes I scream because it hurts and its a really scary experience. Everytime I feel like this is the last time and sometimes I get the feeling its literally ending. Its horrible! Anyway as a result of being at secondary school I found that many of the school kids began to pick on me. Calling me names like freak of lier (pretty standard). On one occasion I passed out in the snow and when I came to I'd found that people had spat at me and I had a cut when I'd been hit by snowballs and stones (we think). Since then things got worse and only recently have they got better but I still find that I'm scared of what might happen to me in public because of this occasion. What can I do? What do you think?
