I feel mad at my Ex for his drama..!!?

When we first dated, I didn't realize how much he loved me or even realize how much I didn't like him but just dated him anyways. So we had a couple of fights that made us break-up cause he made so much Drama and issues in our relationship. But we came back since our good friend helped us out thru. So recently I was busy studying and he kept emailing me how much he wants me on and how much he loved me. I said I was busy studying. My friend guy emailed him that we were chatting and we were but that was before we were studying. So he got pissed and emailed me that I was a lier and that I have to tell him. I got pissed so i said I don't feel like talking and said he doesn't need to know what everything I do. He got mad and decided to break-up. I got mad cuz he always has to make some drama and issues. I knew why I was mad, its cuz I still like him but he always make drama and issues that makes me stressed out. I want my friend t help us out but she's done so many things for us and I dont want to drag her into this.. What should I do I can't forget him and I hear that he hates me now.. Help...
