Is there anything I can do about a collection supervisor who treated me poorly?
I just had my morning ruined by some supervisor who said I agreed to settle for a higher amount to pay off a credit card I've been trying to pay down. They tape all their phone calls and I know I didn't offer over a certain amount. I told them I cannot work as I'm disabled and am not getting disability. They asked me what I could afford to pay and I told them the amount. It's not so much about the debt I'm upset about but the way she was so mean, yelling at me on the phone, accusing that I offered a higher amount, and called me a lier. All along I've been telling the person who I normally talk to about the amount I was able to pay and he was going to try and get it approved by the supervisor. Once she got on the phone she treated me like dirt. Because she was the supervisor is there anything I can do to make it known to a higher authority that she upset me so much by yelling at me, accusing me of something I didn't offer, and calling me a lier? I've never been treated this poorly before and I'm usually one to talk to the supervisor or managers about a great job someone did for me.
